Membership

Becoming a GSSPA member will allow your students to be eligible for our NJ Journalist of the Year award, or the Bob Stevens Memorial Scholarship, to enter the Summer Newspaper Contest and to attend the Fall Press Day conference.

Membership also includes an invitation to attend the Spring Advisers’ Conference and the opportunity to participate in the GSSPA Executive Board elections.

Membership in the GSSPA costs only $25 a year, which is included in the $40 registration fee for the Fall Conference. If you cannot attend the conference, you can renew or begin your membership by sending a check (made out to the GSSPA) and membership form to this address:

For an additional $50, you can also join JEA (the Journalism Education Association). Visit www.jea.org to learn more about the benefits of membership in this national organization.
